Best Time to Start Investment?

The constant dilemma new investors face is what is the best time to invest?

The simple answer to this is that there is no defined time to start investing. The best time is when you make the decision to start investing.

Warren Buffet says, “Investing is about time in the market and not timing the market.”

It is very important to keep investing regularly throughout your life to accumulate wealth in the long-run.

Many investors feel that investing at market highs like the current one could reduce their returns significantly but this is completely wrong because if you invest regularly then you would have investments purchased when the market is at peak and also when then market is at its low. Thus you will average our your investments and this in turn will help you to maximize the wealth.

“The individual investor should act consistently as an investor and not as a speculator “ Benjamin Graham.

Now the answer to another question on how shall we invest our money?

The answer to this shall depend on the type of investor your want to be and your risk appetite. In simple words if you don’t want to take risk then invest in Mutual Funds, In stocks - Large Cap Companies etc. If your want high return and willing to take high risk than you can invest in aggressive shares, cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.

I can suggest you some books which will help you to make your decisions on how to invest and which shares to buy. The books are:

  • The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham
  • Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
  • Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
  • Stocks to Riches by Parag Parikh
  • The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel
  • One up on Wall Street by John Rothchild and Peter Lynch
There are many more books on Finance and Investments which speaks on what is the importance of Investing and how to create wealth. The above list are one of my favorite books. I would recommend you to start reading these books or listen to the audio clips of the books if you don’t like reading. In all the books the author has shared his experiences on investments and what mistakes they did which we shall avoid.
Warren Buffet who is known as one of the most successful and closely followed investor has said that “At age 19, I read a book (The Intelligent Investor) and what I’m doing today, at age 76, is running things through the same thought process I learned from the book I read at 19”

No one can teach you how to do investments and where to invest. It’s only you who shall decide and learn about investments.

It is rightly said that If you don’t know how to take care of your money - No Else Will.

All the Best for your Investing Journey!
Thanks for Reading It !!
